Devesh V. Tripathi was the winner of Bing’s Photo Contest, and Microsoft in partnership with Bing was interested in profiling him and his work. After constructing a script inspired by pre-interviews with Devesh, Lael headed out to Death Valley, Nevada — the location of Devesh’s next photo project — to show him in action.

What resulted was a meditative docu-style profile on creative exploration set in one of the most unique places on earth.
